Mr. Hunt graduated from the University of Utah (B.S. cum laude 1971; J.D., 1974). He was admitted to the Utah Bar in 1974. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Utah, the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
He has extensive experience in construction claims, commercial transactions and contract litigation. He served as construction claims counsel to the largest construction project in the State of Utah, the $4.5 billion Intermountain Power Project. In addition, he is an experienced trial lawyer with substantial involvement in complex commercial and contract litigation and is a frequent lecturer on legal topics related to contract, health care and real estate law.
Mr. Hunt is and has been the president and managing attorney of the firm since its inception in 1991.
Since the establishment of Williams & Hunt, Mr. Hunt has developed a subspecialty in health care law and provides counsel and contract review services to the firm’s many physician clients.
Mr. Hunt was Utah State Membership Chairman of the American Bar Association (1984-86). He was Chairman of the Construction Law Section of the Utah State Bar (1986-88) and was a member of the Executive Committee for the Litigation Section (1982-83). He is a past President of the Salt Lake County Bar Association (1987-88) and served on its Executive Committee for nine years. |
